MORE INFORMATION

This YVH-1 Battle Droid was released in wave 11 in 2009's Legacy Collection as a "Build A Droid" figure. YVH-1 has several appearances in the New Jedi Order and Legacy Of The Force Star Wars novels.

The Terminator look-a-like figure has 14 joints, with the neck, shoulders, wrists, and legs being swivel joints. The elbows, the waist, knees and ankles are ball-jointed. Even though Hasbro gave YVH-1 ball-jointed ankles and knees, it's tricky to get the figure to balance out, and it'll be helpful if you have an extra stand lying around at home for additional support. The only included accessory is a blaster, which fits very loosely into both of the figure's hands. The height of the YVH-1 is not quite like the height of the Yuuzhan Vong warriors, but it's about a head taller than a basic star wars figure.

The mold is O.K. with a scary looking skull and some nice details on the front and the back of the figure. Unfortunately, the paint application is a bit simple and lackluster in that there is no weathering or any kind of battle damage on the figure. Because of that, YVH-1 feels a bit more "plastic" than what it should like. However, the black and gray colors, and the yellow on the eyes are cleanly applied. All in all, it's an interesting choice on Hasbro's behalf to release such a niche character. If you can get over the fact that it looks kind of like a T-800, it's actually a nice figure. And, if you are a fan of the novels and you are familiar with this specific character you'll probably want to add YVH-1 to your collection.

PACKAGING TEXT

There was no packaging text for YVH-1. The figure was a BAD (build-a-droid) figure and could only be obtained when figures with all the individual parts were purchased and then assembled.
