This Commander Bly action figure was released in February 2010 in the basic Clone Wars figure assortment. Bly serves Jedi Master Aayla Secura on various missions and can be seen in the first season of the Clone Wars TV show, in the episodes Jedi Crash and Defenders Of Peace.
The figure is ultra articulated with 14 joints, with all joints being ball-jointed with the exception of the legs, which are swivel jointed. Hasbro gave Commander Bly a removable helmet (the visor is removable, and can be moved up and down), removable shoulder armor, 2 blasters, a blaster rifle and a rocket launcher attachment for the rifle, which can shoot out a projectile. Both blasters fit spot on into both of the holsters on Bly's belt. They also fit very nicely into both of the Commander's hands. The blaster rifle however does not stay in either hand and keeps falling out. When you first take the figure out of the packaging, the blaster rifle is attached with a small plastic rubber band, and if you prefer to have the figure hold the rifle we recommend that you don't remove it. The shoulder armor sits loosely, but well on the figure's shoulders. Commander Bly stands very securely on his own and you will not need an additional stand.
The paint application is great, and again Hasbro has done a fantastic job on the figure's face. They even gave Bly the yellow markings on both cheeks as seen in the Clone Wars TV show. Overall, this Commander Bly clone figure is as good as it gets as of 2010, it's a super articulated figure which looks exactly what the character looked like on screen. Plus, with all the accessories and articulated joints you'll be able to place him into any diorama!
Commander Bly leads the 327th Star Corps of clone troopers assigned to Jedi General Aayla Secura during the Clone Wars. He comes perilously close to finding out the devastating effect of a new Separatist weapon that threatens a peaceful Lurmen village.
