This animated style Clone Tank Gunner figure was released in 2009 as part of a battlepack, which was titled "AT-TE Assault Squad". Clone Tank Gunners can be seen in various Clone Wars episodes, mostly in the background or for a very brief moment.
This figure was the first Clone Tank Gunner which was released by Hasbro. It has 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, both shoulders, elbows, wrists, the waist, knees and ankles! Thanks to adjustable knees and ankles, and stiff joints, you won't have any balancing problems. The included blaster fits very well into both of the trooper's hands, but the over-sized rocket launcher causes the figure to fall over without additional support from a stand. The helmet, the shoulder and chest armor are not removable.
It's difficult to say how accurate the paint application and the mold are compared with the character on the Clone Wars TV show, since this character never had any close-up scenes. However, the paint is applied cleanly with a unique looking helmet and red symbols on both shoulders. There is no weathering, scuffs or dirt of any sort on the figure. All in all, this Clone Tank Gunner figure is super articulated, unique looking, and makes a fine addition to any clone army or AT-TE diorama display!
A chaotic battle ensues when Anakin and his troopers arrive to attack the B'omarr monk monastery in which the Huttlet is being held prisoner. AT-TE walkers with clone trooper assault squads on board surge into combat against swarms of battle droids. The rugged walkers advance relentlessly up the side of a steep cliff, intent upon reaching the monastery at the top of the mesa.
