MORE INFORMATION

This animated style Firefighter Battle Droid was released single carded during The Clone Wars collection in early 2010. These specific Battle Droids could be seen in the first season of The Clone Wars, in the episode titled Destroy Malevolence.

The droid has 9 joints, with ball-joints in the neck and both shoulders, and swivel joints in the elbows, forearms, the waist and both legs. The figure stands very shaky on both legs as it is, but the water-supply backpack puts even more weight on the droid's back. Unfortunately the hip is not ball-jointed, and with no articulation in the knees and ankles the figure's stance can't be adjusted. The backpack can be plugged into the back of the figure, where it stays firmly attached. The water hose can be attached or kept off the backpack. This allows for a little display variety if you pick up more than one of these Firefighter Droids. The hose gun and the blaster fit OK in both of the figure's hands.

The paint application on the Firefighter Battle Droid is very well done, especially when compared to the on-screen counterpart. All the yellow markings seem to be there, from the ankles, the hip to the chest all the way to the backpack. Even the hose gun has the little red stripe on it. All in all the figure is just about average. It looks very close to what the Firefighter Battle Droid looked like in the animated TV show, but unfortunately, like most other Battle Droid figures, it can barely stand on its own. However, it's unique enough from other Battle Droids released, and it'll add some variety to your droid army display.
