This animated-style ARF Trooper in Jungle Camo was released single carded during The Clone Wars collection in August 2010. Jungle Camo Clone Troopers could be seen in the Clone Wars movie, addressing Anakin Skywalker before the Battle Of Teth.
Hasbro made this ARF Trooper ultra articulated, with ball-joints everywhere. There is not a single swivel joint to be found, even the wrists, and the hip are ball-jointed. Despite its petite and somewhat skinny legs, the Clone stands quite nicely by himself without help from the included stand. The only time you'll likely need the stand is, if you want to display the figure with the big blaster cannon, because the weight of it makes the trooper want to tip over. Both weapons, the basic blaster, and the cannon fit well into the hands of the trooper.
The paint application on the Jungle Camo ARF Trooper is pretty cool and it seems as if Hasbro managed to use the correct color pallet for the patterns on the armor. Aesthetically, the figure looks awesome, and matches the characters seen in the Clone Wars movie quite well. The only negative is that the plastic used for the figure is very, very soft and easily bendable. Besides that, this ARF Trooper turned out very well, and is a great addition to the Clone Wars line-up!
Advanced Recon Force (ARF) clone troopers conduct reconnaissance missions. They are trained in stealth techniques to gather information without being detected by the enemy. Wearing jungle camouflage armor, they are deployed to the planet Teth to scout the location where Jabba the Hutt's son Rotta is being held captive.
