This animated-style Boba Fett in Cadet Uniform was released in The Rise Of Boba Fett Ultimate Battlepack during The Clone Wars collection in August 2010. The set was a Toys'R'Us exclusive, and besides the spaceships Slave 1 and Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter, it included figures of Bossk, Anakin Skywalker, this Boba Fett in cadet uniform, Mace Windu and R8-B7. The set is based on the Boba Fett story arch from the end of the second season of the Clone Wars TV show, which concluded with the episodes "Death Trap", "R2 Come Home", and "Lethal Trackdown".
Young Boba Fett was given 14 points of articulation, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles. The forearms, the waist and the legs have swivel joints. There were no weapons included with Boba.
The paint application on cadet Boba is cleanly applied and comes close to the character in the TV show, including the yellow eyes. Unfortunately, Hasbro hasn't fixed the factory issue yet, where the ankle joints are painted in a different color from the feet and legs. In Boba's case, the joints are painted in red, and should be black. This small issue aside, young Boba Fett turned out very nicely. It might be a little bit on the boring side, since it is "little Boba", and there were no weapons included for the figure. However, the figure itself looks great, and the appearance is dead-on compared to the TV counterpart. If you are a fan of young Boba Fett and the Clone Wars, then this figure is for you!
Ever since the Battle of Geonosis, young Boba Fett has made it his mission to confront the Jedi who defeated his father. Jango's son doesn't care that the duel between his father and Mace Windu was a fair battle between skilled warriors; Boba wants his chance to fight the Jedi. Eventually, his hunt is successful. He and Bossk fly Slave I to a planet where Mace and Anakin Skywalker are on a mission. The moment has come, and Boba is determined to make Windu pay for his actions on Geonosis, and to take his place as the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy.
Son of the notorious bounty hunter, young Boba has a personal reason for despising the Jedi and all they represent.
