This Sandtrooper Sergeant was released individually carded during The Vintage Collection in early September 2010. Sandtroopers can be seen in the original Star Wars movie in various scenes on Tatooine.

The figure is identical and a straight re-release of the previously Walmart exclusive Sandtrooper with Dewback from The Legacy Collection in 2009. The only difference this time around is that instead of a vibro lance, Hasbro included a second blaster rifle with the figure.

The Sandtrooper has 14 joints including ball-jointed hips. The Sandtrooper stands very securely on his own without any balancing issues, even with the backpack attached to his back. Hasbro included the typical peg holes in the bottom of the feet if you'd like to place the figure on a stand (not included). Both of the Sandtrooper's blaster rifles fit well into the hands.

The paint application is cleanly applied, but you won't find any "Tatooine dirt" on the boots or anywhere on the armor. All in all, Hasbro picked a fantastic sculpt for a re-release! It's a super articulated Sandtrooper figure which is brilliant for troop building.
