MORE INFORMATION

Ewok Priestess Kaink was released in a Disney exclusive 5-pack during The Legacy Collection in May 2010. However, the packaging was special, and featured the black, modern vintage-style star field and Star Tours logo on it. The other Star Wars figures included in this set were Teek, a Star Tours Officer, Chewbacca and Ree-Yees. Kaink was never seen in any of the Star Wars movies, but she was featured in the Ewok movie "Caravan of Courage", two episodes of the Ewok cartoon from the 80's, and she could be seen boarding the Starspeeder 3000 in the short pre-boarding video which was being shown to guests before they entered the Star Tours ride.

Just like Teek, the figure was given 10 points of articulation, with the neck and both shoulders being the only ball-joints. However, there are swivel joints in the wrists, waist, both legs and ankles. The knees and elbows don't have any joints. Kaink stands very well on her own and won't need a display stand. Unfortunately, Hasbro didn't include any weapons or accessories with the figure besides the soft-goods hood. The hood isn't all bad, but it's a bit too big, and leaves quite a bit of air between the figure's head and the top, which looks a bit off.

Kaink has a decent paint application, with some nice subtle dirt on the "fur" and a cleanly painted facial area. The sculpt is in line with recent Ewok figures, looks nice and fits very well into the collection or an Ewok diorama. Kaink did appear in the Star Tours Boarding video with only a hood, but she did appear in the Ewok movie with a completely different outfit and a glowing spear. Unfortunately, Hasbro missed the opportunity and didn't include anything besides the hood. They were able to include a second, different looking outfit for Wicket in The Vintage Collection, so it would have been nice to see the same effort made for this Ewok. All in all, it's a good Ewok figure and a nice tribute to the classic Star Tours Ride, but it feels somewhat incomplete.
