MORE INFORMATION

X-Wing pilot Grizz Frix was available in a Toys'R'Us exclusive 4-pack titled "Battle Over Endor", and was released in January 2011 in the Shadow Of The Dark Side Collection. The set included X-Wing pilot Grizz Frix, Tie-Fighter pilot Major Mianda, Astromech droid R2-T7 and B-Wing pilot Palso Thern. Grizz Frix can be seen very briefly as he's been shot down by the Empire in The Return Of The Jedi's Battle Of Endor.

The figure is based on the Luke Skywalker X-Wing pilot mold from the Vintage Saga Collection, which has been used and re-released various times as of this review. The only bigger difference are the right and left lower legs, which are now reversed. One of the re-releases can be found here in our database.

Grizz Frix has 14 joints total, with 12 ball-joints, and the only swivel joints being in both forearms. The figure's leg stance is pretty wide, but it helps to balance the figure out better. The X-Wing pilot helmet is a great fit and can easily be put on or taken off the head. The blaster unfortunately isn't a very good fit for either of the figure's hands, and it sits very loosely. Since this figure is based on a previous Luke Skywalker, you'll find an additional hole in the front, where originally Luke's lightsaber could be plugged in. However, Grizz Frix is not a Jedi, and there was no lightsaber included that could be used here. The chestbox is permanently attached, but the cable hanging from it can be plugged into the suit, or left hanging down loosely.

The paint job on X-Wing pilot Grizz Frix is well done, especially the patterns and the details on the helmet look great. The head sculpt turned out well and the figure's appearance leaves an overall good impression. It certainly fits right in with all your other X-Wing pilots! All in all, this Grizz Frix is a fine and never-before-done addition to the collection!
