Jedi Master Mace Windu was released in a Target exclusive 2-pack in 2009 together with a Battle Droid Commander. The set was part of the Geonosis Arena Showdown series, which started in 2009 during The Legacy Collection, and by Fall of 2010 consisted of twelve 2-packs totaling 24 figures. The figure is based on Mace Windu's appearance in the Geonosian arena in Attack Of The Clones.
Mace Windu is super articulated with 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, the waist, both knees and ankles. The wrists and both legs have swivel joints. The figure balances out very well and won't need support from a stand. Due to the plastic skirt, which goes down all the way to his knees, Mace Windu is unable to sit. So, if you are looking for a Mace Windu figure for a jedi council inspired diorama, then this is not the figure you want. The only weapon included with the figure was a purple lightsaber, which fits very well into both hands. The saber's blade is not removable, and there was no hilt included which could be plugged into the little hole on Mace Windu's belt.
Mace Windu was given a clean appearance, without any battle markings or dirt. It's a well painted figure, just nothing out of the ordinary. The figure's sculpt is very well done, especially the ball-jointed waist looks great (doesn't look ball-jointed at all). What's annoying though is that the belt area is just generic, and is missing Mace Windu's food capsules on the left side of the hip for example. The head sculpt is passable and looks overall OK. All in all, this Mace Windu with 14 joints is nicely done, but there is still room left for improvement.
The Jedi Knights rush to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padme from execution. The Jedi brandish their lightsabers against the Geonosian warriors and the massive army of battle droids, super battle droids and droidekas. All hope seems lost that any Jedi will survive this battle, then Yoda arrives with an army of clone troopers. Although many Jedi are lost that day, others survive this climatic battle that ushers in the Clone Wars.
