MORE INFORMATION

This Padme Amidala in Peasant Disguise was released individually carded in The Vintage Collection in late January 2011. Padme can be seen wearing this outfit in Attack Of The Clones while traveling to Naboo, and while talking to the queen.

This version of Padme has a total of eight joints, including a swivel neck, 2 ball-jointed shoulders, 2 ball-jointed elbows, 2 swivel forearms and a swivel waist. The figure is entirely static from the waist down, even though the figure's legs are molded individually. Padme has a very secure stand and balances out beautifully thanks to the plastic dress. Hasbro included three accessories with the figure, a basic Naboo blaster, a headdress and headgear. The small blaster fits very well into the figure's left hand, but it fits only very loosely into the right. The soft plastic headdress is a good fit and stays very well on top of the head. The same goes for the head gear. The outer part of the dress is made out of soft-goods, which looks great. It's also removable, but the figure looks much better with it on.

The paint application on Padme is done well, especially the color tone is spot-on and mimics the on-screen outfit quite nicely. The figure is also sculpted very well, and even though the legs are not articulated, going with a plastic skirt which has a soft-goods piece on the outside turned out to be a good choice. This way the dress isn't overly bulky, and the figure fits right in with most of the other politician figures released to date. The inclusion of exchangeable headgears is fantastic, because it gives you the choice to replicate different movie scenes. All in all, this Padme Amidala in Peasant Disguise figure is a never before released figure, and a welcome addition to the line-up!
