Here is a look at Luke Skywalker's Snowspeeder which was released by Hasbro in Fall 2010. This nicely detailed and newly sculpted vehicle was more in-scale than previously released Snowspeeders prior to 2010. The vehicle has room for two pilots (pictured in the photo gallery are Dack Raltar from 2010 The Vintage Collection and Luke Skywalker from the 2012 Star Wars Movie Heroes series).
For this release Hasbro found the perfect solution for collectors and children by including two different harpoons (one is bigger and can shoot out a cable in the back - the other is more in-scale and doesn't shoot). They also included two different sets of laser cannons (one set can shoot projectiles - the other set is smaller and more appropriately scaled). The landing gear - the cockpit hatch and the flaps on both sides can be moved manually. There are no electronics in this version of the Snowspeeder.
The figures fit very well into the cockpit and Dack Raltar is even able to grab the controls with both hands (nice!). The vehicle is nicely painted - but it could have used an overall dirtier look. This version of the Snowspeeder is fantastic through and through and it is easily recommendable.
