Originally, The Legacy Collection toy line was planned to be the successor toy line to The Vintage Collection in Spring 2013. Hasbro however cancelled the toy line and instead launched The Black Series and the Saga Legends toy lines in the Fall of 2013. It was intended to bring back the "Build-A-Droid" parts with each figure, which would have let fans, who bought every figure in a wave, assemble an additional Star Wars figure. Luckily for collectors, Hasbro was able to release an Amazon exclusive 6-pack (including 1 Build-A-Droid figure) in Fall of 2013, which gave fans a chance to own the cancelled card design and the seven figures. Very surprising, the first wave of the cancelled Legacy Collection toy line showed up out of the blue at Go! Calendar stores across the United States in May 2015 and collectors were able to add additional figures to their collections. The full list of figures available through retail is shown below.
