Everything That You Need To Know About Today's Reveals

5/1/2020 The Black Series The Vintage Collection

Hasbro revealed a lot of Star Wars action figures coming our way later in 2020 during their Live Stream event on the Hasbro Pulse Facebook page today. Here is an overview for you about what was announced, what was talked about and where you can pre-order all the new figures.

Pre-Orders for Amazon and Entertainment Earth:

Amazon hasn't made their exclusives available yet, but you can now get them on Hasbro Pulse until Amazon will update their website, limited to one of each: Hasbro Pulse.

Here is a closer look at every figure revealed, let's start off with The Black Series!

Star Wars The Black Series Reveals

Hasbro showed two new Black Series 6" troopers, a Stormtrooper from the classic era and a prequel era Kamino Clone Trooper. Both figures are new interpretations, they are more accurately sculpted and more articulated than previous Stormtrooper and Clone Troopers. We can expect both figures to be released later in 2020, pre-orders are currently not available yet.

Luke Skywalker (Dagobah), the Fan Vote Winner from last year, will be released in a 2-pack together with Jedi Master Yoda. Luke will come with an extra set of hands, and Yoda will be a new, more accurate sculpt which will include an extra face expression. Hasbro will also include a backpack so that Yoda can ride on Luke's back, a blaster and Luke's lightsaber. The set is not exclusive to a particular store, but you can already pre-order it on Entertainment Earth now. The packaging looks great with the classic Empire Strikes Back logo on it.

Amazon will have quite a few exclusives later this year. The Carbonized Darth Vader looks amazing with a bluish tint to it, it's the perfect Empire Strikes Back 40th Celebration figure, you can pre-order it on Amazon here! Han Solo in Carbonite appears to be a simple re-release of the 2013 San Diego Comic Con exclusive version. The carbonite block is of course not articulated, but it will include a display stand so that it can be displayed standing up or floating. The pre-order on Amazon is right here, and if you want to look at the 2013 version, have a look here: Black Series Han Solo Carbonite Block. The last exclusive to Amazon which was shown is a 2-pack which features Zuckuss and 4-LOM on single cards packed inside a box. Both figures will be painted in vintage Kenner colors, you can get the set on Amazon here.

The Vintage Collection

Unfortunately the only Vintage Collection 3.75" action figure shown was a re-release of the Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper Disguise) figure from 2019. This time Luke will be released single carded, instead of being included in a 3-pack, and the figure is not exclusive to a particular store. You can pre-order it now on Entertainment Earth here.

The frustration for Vintage Collection fans is big, it's clear from the reveals yet again that Hasbro's focus is clearly on the 6" scale. There will be more Vintage Collection reveals in the coming weeks/months, for today however this was it for 3.75" fans.
