There were a lot of announcements today from Lucasfilm about the future of Star Wars, here is an overview.
- Star Wars: Squadrons - a feature film which will be released for Christmas 2023
- Untitled Taika Waititi Film - a feature film which is in development, no date has been announced yet.
- Star Wars: Kenobi - the Disney+ series will bring Hayden Christensen playing Darth Vader, it'll be set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith
- Ahsoka - Ms. Tano gets her own Disney+ limited series
- Rangers Of The New Republic - set within the Mandalorian timeline
- Lando - Mr. Calrissian will get his own tv series
- Andor - the Cassian Andor tv series will be released in 2022, it's filming already and it will feature Mon Mothma
- The Acolyte - mystery-thriller that will take the audience into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era
- The Bad Batch - this series had already been announced previously
- Visions - this anthology collection will bring 10 fantastic visions from several of the leading Japanese anime studios, offering a fresh and diverse cultural perspective to Star Wars
- Droids - this epic journey will introduce us to a new hero, guided by legendary duo R2-D2 and C-3PO
There was no word about a Rian Johnson trilogy, or what happened with the David Benioff and D. B. Weiss trilogy. The heavily rumored Boba Fett or animated Luke Skywalker tv series was also not talked about.
