The 3 3/4" Star Wars Retro Collection will see a new addition to the line with the Prototype Edition Stormtrooper figure. This is the third one in the line up after Darth Vader and Boba Fett. There will be six different color combinations for the figure, but the blaster will also be colored differently which increases the possible variations to hunt for. This figure is a Target exclusive in the United States, it's exclusive to Toys'R'Us in Canada and available through the Fan Channel in the UK. Pre-orders in the United States go on sale tomorrow at 1pm EST on 9/9/2021.
The 3 3/4" Star Wars: Vintage Collection will see the continuation of the Carbonized sub-line with four new additions including the Armorer, the Shoretrooper, the Incinerator Trooper and Moff Gideon. The Shoretrooper will be released on a Mandalorian card, a first for the character. All four figures are exclusive to Walmart stores in the United States and Canada and they will be made available through the Fan Channel in the UK. Pre-orders in the United States will go live on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 1pm EST.
The team announced a new Troop Builder program! The first set is a Stormtrooper 4-pack which will include three regular classic Stormtroopers and one Squad Leader Stormtrooper figure which has an orange shoulder pauldron. The set will include multiple weapons. The figures will not be single carded but instead come in a white mailer box with the Hasbro (not Kenner) logo on it. The set will cost $41.99 for four figures and it's exclusive to Hasbro Pulse and ShopDisney.com. Pre-orders go live on 9/9/2021 at 1pm.
Hasbro revealed several basic line 3 3/4" figures coming to the Star Wars Vintage Collection including Emperor Palpatine, Lobot and Bib Fortuna. Emperor Palpatine will have a different head sculpt from the Hasbro Pulse Con exclusive set and the figure will have the VC200 number on the card. All three figures are mainline releases and not exclusive to a particular retailer. You can see the full wave of figures which those three belong to below (check out how beautifully clean the Bib Fortuna card looks!)
There were no product images available yet but the team revealed some figures which are coming to the basic Vintage Collection in 2022 and those figures will include Yoda (ESB), the 501st Clone Trooper (ROTS), the Mandalorian Death Watch Airborne Trooper and Figrin D'an.
The team gave an update on the Vintage Collection Razor Crest and showed the finished packaging for it. Unfortunately the vehicle won't ship until January 2022. It was also announced that the Target exclusive Rogue One X-Wing Fighter will not go on pre-order through the Target website, instead it'll just be a regular on-shelf item which should be available in brick-and-mortar stores soon.
The first figure announced coming to the Black Series 6" line was the Gamestop exclusive (EB Games in Canada/Fan Channel in the UK) Gaming Greats Jet Trooper from Star Wars: Battlefront II. For this figure Hasbro used the new Clone Trooper body but modified it so that a jet-pack can be attached to the back. This figure is #6 in the line-up of Gaming Greats figures in the packaging which was introduced last Fall. Pre-orders go live at 1pm EST at Gamestop in the United States tomorrow on 9/9/2021.
The Black Series 6" Credit Collection is continuing with five new addtions which include The Mandalorian and Kuiil (both Amazon exclusives), Greef Karga (Fan Channel exclusive), Moff Gideon (Best Buy exclusive) and the Armorer (Gamestop exclusive). Look for all figures to go on pre-order tomorrow 9/9/2021 at 1pm.
Target will have an exclusive Black Series Build-Up pack which includes the Mandalorian and Grogu with pram. A pre-order date has not been announced yet but the set will be available in Spring 2022. The Grogu figure will have a new head sculpt with his eyes closed, the pram will be based on the very first pram seen in the show, and the Din Djarin figure will be a muddy version of the previously available figure.
Hasbro continues to celebrate Lucasfilm's 50th anniversary with another entry into the Power Of The Force 2 tribute line, and this time they will release Princess Leia Organa (Yavin) on a green 1997/1998 era throwback card. Look for this Hasbro Pulse/ShopDisney exclusive figure sometime in November of this year (a pre-order date was not given).
Even though the team didn't have any product images available yet, they revealed the next four figures coming to the Black Series 6" Archive line. Figures which will see a re-release include Emperor Palpatine, Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard), C-3PO (based on ANH) and bounty hunter Dengar.
That's it for this livestream. There will be more reveals at the end of the month so keep checking back for news regarding all things Star Wars action figures!
