Hasbro Star Wars team members Chris Reiff and Patrick Schneider held several meetings this morning with active members of the Star Wars action figure collecting community to answer questions about figures revealed during Hasbro Pulse Con 2021. You can listen to the full interview on Galactic Figure Talk #74 (also available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music etc...) or watch the zoom meeting on the Galactic Figures YouTube channel (subscribe please!).
Each media outlet was granted 5 questions which were submitted a week prior and needed to be focused on Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 reveals. Below is a loose transcript of the Q&A with GalacticFigures.com.
Q) Will the Star Wars: Vintage Collection Troop Builder sets on Hasbro Pulse stay in rotation and be available to fans for a few years, or when it's sold out it's gone and won't come back in stock? (The Stormtrooper 4-pack is sold out currently)
A) They are not necessarily done. We'd love to keep them in stock, if there is demand for them it's a possibility to bring them back. It's our dream that every fan who wants a certain item gets them, that's what we want, but it's a matter of priorities and trade-offs, but it's something we are exploring for those items.
Q) You've revealed Figrin'd'an for The Black Series (and previously for The Vintage Collection), will this figure come with multiple instruments so people can build the full band, or is the plan to release every band member individually over time?
A) We can't go into the details quite yet, but we are aware of the desire for the full band in both scales. We are talking about it and are looking into ways to make that happen. That said, we can't deliver the full band in the main line, so we are figuring it out and there will be a main line release (of Figrin'D'An), but then also potentially a way to get the full band.
Q) The Star Wars: The Black Series General Hux which is included in the Galaxy's Edge First Order multipack, is that an entirely new head on the figure?
A) Yes, the Black Series General Hux figure will have a brand new head sculpt featuring the photo real print.
Q) The Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Nevarro Cantina Playset looks great. It is a modular playset so you can build around the corners, but is it possible to make it longer as well and connect them side by side (for fans who use Ikea Billy book cases)?
A) The set is configurable in various different ways as shown on the side of the packaging. It's modular so you don't have to go with what was shown, you can create your own. (-> this didn't really answer the question, but it might be possible to connect them side by side, have a look here for ways on how to configure it)
Q) The bubble on the Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Mando Kreis Mandalorian figure looks rather large, would you consider bringing back the packaging which you've used for the K-mart exclusive sets, like the Imperial Scanning Crew and the Ewoks with Catapult, for future figures which come with extra accessories?
A) It's a good thought. That set in particular was a unique set with all the accessories and we wanted to show it off well. We haven't made a decision how to handle a set like this down the road but it's not unreasonable to expect us to do more for larger sets like that. We'll see what form that takes as we go.
Thank you to Hasbro's Chris and Patrick for having GalacticFigures.com yet again be part of another round of Q&As to keep the community informed.
