The Star Wars Action Figure Price Increase Detailed

2/11/2022 The Vintage Collection The Black Series

After Hasbro's live stream on Wednesday a press release arrived in the in-box with pricing information. When compared to current Star Wars The Black Series and Star Wars The Vintage Collection pricing it is clear that we'll see a price increase in the Fall of 2020 and going into 2023, and many of you likely noticed that already yesterday when pre-ordering all the new figures. Here is the breakdown for the Black Series 6" line:

  • Star Wars The Black Series Basic Assortment $22.99 -> $24.99
  • Star Wars The Black Series Archive Assortment $22.99 -> $24.99
  • Star Wars The Black Series Deluxe Assortment $31.49 -> $33.99

The biggest price increase is for DELUXE figures which will jump by $2.50 while the basic assortment and the archive line will increase by $2. The Star Wars The Vintage Collection will also see a price increase for the basic assortment by $1. Late last year we we've learned what the Deluxe and even single carded exclusives will retail for, here is the current breakdown:

  • Star Wars The Vintage Collection Assortment $13.99 -> $14.99
  • Star Wars The Vintage Collection Exclusives (single carded) $20.99
  • Star Wars The Vintage Collection Deluxe Assortment $26.49
  • Star Wars The Vintage Collection Troop Builder $41.99 (no price increase to report yet)

It's unclear, but very likely, that the Star Wars: The Retro Collection will also see a price increase, but since no new figures have been announced for 2022 (except for the Mandalorian wave) and beyond for this toy line there is nothing to report on currently. The last price increase was "announced" on October 27th, 2020 after new Black Series 6" figures had been revealed at MCM Comic Con London, you can read the post here.
