Hasbro Extends Disney Licensing Deal for Star Wars & Marvel Toys

Hasbro to Continue Producing Star Wars Action Figures, Lightsabers, and Marvel Legends

In exciting news for collectors and fans around the world, Hasbro has announced a multi-year extension of its long-running partnership with Disney Consumer Products. This agreement secures the global toy and board game licensing rights for two of the world’s most iconic entertainment franchises: Star Wars and Marvel.

Under this renewed agreement, Hasbro will continue to develop action figures, collectibles, and games across all ages and generations. That includes the popular Star Wars: The Black Series and The Vintage Collection—a staple in the Star Wars 3.75-inch figure community.

Fans can expect continued releases of kid-friendly toys such as Lightsabers, plush figures, and preschool items alongside collector-focused products like Marvel Legends and highly articulated Star Wars figures. This collaboration ensures characters like Darth Vader, Grogu, Spider-Man, and Black Panther will remain central to Hasbro's toy universe for years to come.

Paul Gitter, Executive Vice President of Global Brand Commercialization at Disney, added: "We aim to push the boundaries of creativity with must-have collectibles and engaging experiences that bring our fans closer to their favorite stories and characters."

This licensing extension also includes integration with Hasbro's gaming divisions, such as Magic: The Gathering, which has already introduced Marvel characters into card play formats.
