Monthly Star Wars Action Figure Re-Cap - April 2026

Monthly Star Wars Action Figure Re-Cap - April 2026

April 2026 was a packed month for Star Wars action figure collectors, with the final trailer and ticket launch for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, new Black Series May The 4th reveals, fresh retail displays at Target, Walmart and Fred Meyer, two new figure reveals from CCXP México, the announcement of Hasbro's Ultimate Grogu animatronic, and several new database additions here on GalacticFigures.com. We also continued our deeper collector-focused coverage with a closer look at the 2011 Vintage Collection B-Wing Fighter and a review of the wonderfully odd Cruisemissile Trooper from the Power Of The Force (2) line.

Monthly Recap for April

Below is a recap of the biggest April stories for us Star Wars action figure collectors, with quick links to each section.

The Mandalorian And Grogu Trailer, Tickets And Retail Push

April kept the spotlight firmly on Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Lucasfilm and Disney released the final trailer for the movie, and tickets went on sale in April ahead of the film's May 22, 2026 theatrical release. That alone would have made the month notable, but the retail push was just as interesting for collectors.

Mandalorian

We found new store displays tied to the movie at multiple retailers, including Target end caps, Walmart displays and two standalone Fred Meyer displays. The Fred Meyer setup was especially interesting for Pacific Northwest collectors, with Black Series figures from the movie showing up in dedicated toy aisle displays. Walmart also had a strong Star Wars presence, with regular aisle placement, secondary displays, LEGO end caps, Black Series figures and plenty of Grogu-themed merchandise.

CCXP México Brought Two New Hasbro Reveals

One of April's biggest reveal moments came from CCXP México 2026, where Hasbro showed two new Star Wars action figures. The 6-inch line received the Imperial Remnant Warlord with Polar Mouse Droid for Star Wars The Black Series, while The Vintage Collection added Devon Izara from Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord.

CCXP 2026

The Imperial Remnant Warlord is priced at $27.99 and was announced as a Target exclusive in the United States, while Devon Izara is priced at $19.99 and scheduled for Fall 2026. For collectors following both the upcoming movie and the new animated series, this reveal gave April a nice mix of theatrical and Disney+ era figure news.

Black Series May The 4th Figures Revealed

Hasbro also revealed three special Black Series May The 4th Edition figures in April. The lineup includes a B1 Battle Droid, Scout Trooper and Stormtrooper, each with playful commemorative packaging and themed soft-goods shirts. Each figure is priced at $27.99, with the Battle Droid exclusive to Target, the Scout Trooper available through fan channel retailers, and the Stormtrooper exclusive to Walmart.

Later in the month, we also added the Walmart exclusive Black Series Stormtrooper May The 4th Edition figure to the GalacticFigures.com archive, giving collectors a closer look at the figure entry.

Ultimate Grogu Joins The Collector Conversation

Hasbro closed out April with the announcement of Ultimate Grogu, a 1:1 scale premium animatronic Grogu with built-in motors, sensors and microphones. The collectible features over 250 animations and sounds, three play modes, premium materials and two packaging options, including a limited First Edition version.

Hasbro Ultimate Grogu

Ultimate Grogu is clearly aimed at collectors, fans and cosplayers rather than the regular action figure aisle, but it still became one of the bigger Star Wars collecting stories of the month. With a character like Grogu, sometimes the line between toy, collectible and tiny emotional support Jedi gets a little blurry.

Star Wars Celebration 2027 News Started Rolling In

April also brought fresh Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles 2027 news. StarWars.com revealed the official key art, ticket pricing and ticket sale date for the convention, which will take place April 1 through April 4, 2027 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Later in the month, Lucasfilm announced the first celebrity guests, including Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Anthony Daniels, Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang.

Star Wars Celebration 2027

With the event taking place during the 50th anniversary year of Star Wars: A New Hope, Celebration 2027 is already shaping up to be a major event for fans, collectors and anyone who enjoys standing in very long lines for very cool things.

Database Updates And Archive Work Continued

April was also a strong month for archive work. We added several newer Black Series entries to the database, including Din Djarin and Grogu in First Edition packaging, Colonel Ward, the Seventh Sister Inquisitor, and the May The 4th Stormtrooper. We also updated the Black Series mural coverage for both The Mandalorian and Grogu and Star Wars Rebels, including the addition of the Seventh Sister to the Rebels mural lineup.

On the broader database side, we continued pushing toward being fully caught up with what is publicly available, which is not always glamorous work, but it is the kind of collector housekeeping that keeps the archive useful.

Deep Dives, Reviews And Classic Vehicle Coverage

April also gave us a chance to revisit some older Hasbro releases. We published a closer look at the 2011 Star Wars The Vintage Collection B-Wing Fighter, a Kmart exclusive vehicle that originally retailed for $39.99. The feature looked at the packaging, assembly, rotating cockpit, retractable landing gear, display challenges and the age of the tooling.

B-Wing

We also reviewed the Cruisemissile Trooper from the 1997 Power Of The Force line. It is one of those strange late-1990s releases that did not appear in the movies, but still feels very much like a product of that era. It is odd, nostalgic and very Power Of The Force, which is usually either a warning label or a compliment depending on how long you have been collecting.
