Hasbro Announces Second Live Stream For May 2026

In a surprise post this morning, Hasbro announced another livestream for May 2026, featuring product reveals for both Star Wars: The Vintage Collection and Star Wars: The Black Series. The stream is expected to include new figures based on Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu for both action figure lines.

The marketing campaign for Hasbro’s Star Wars action figure lines leading up to the release of The Mandalorian And Grogu has been bafflingly quiet. Aside from the announcements made on March 22, 2026, during Disney’s Most Wanted event in New York City, there has been very little activity from Hasbro, while other toy and collectible companies have been promoting their movie tie-in products aggressively.

LEGO has been running ads for its Star Wars products, Blokees, Jada Toys, Bandai model kits, and S.H.Figuarts have remained active on social media, and even Walmart has promoted Star Wars merchandise with dedicated ads. Beyond toys, we have seen tie-ins from Bath & Body Works, beauty and makeup brands, food products including Vanilla Wafers, milk items, popcorn buckets, Burger King, Hot Toys blind boxes, Sideshow Collectibles, and more. MINISO even toured a Star Wars pop-up store across the United States.

Hasbro, meanwhile, has been largely silent. Even during the May The Fourth livestream, when the attention of the Star Wars fandom was squarely on them, the movie was ignored entirely. We will see what they announce this coming Tuesday, but waiting until after the movie is already in theaters to begin promoting related products feels completely out of touch with the fan base.
