This Rebel Fleet Trooper was released during the POTF2 series in July/August of 1997. Back in those days, Kenner went with a buffed-up, Schwarzenegger-type look, and this figure is a prime example of that. Not only is this Rebel Trooper He-Man sized, but he's also very tall, and uses He-Man sized weapons. The Rebel Trooper's helmet is not removable, and the holster can not hold a weapon. The figure has the basic 6 swivel joints, which was normal for back then. Kenner went with a slightly pre-defined stance, the left leg is a bit ahead of the right one, which makes it a challenge to have the figure stand by itself without falling over. Luckily there are holes in both feet if you want to place the figure on a stand. Both over-sized weapons fit into the Rebel Trooper's hands. The paint job is very basic, and Kenner used a brown color for the pants instead of gray as seen in the movie. Another error is the communicator on top of the helmet, it's on the right instead of the left side. Overall, it's a very underwhelming figure with balancing problems, inaccurate paint applications, super-sized weapons, and a He-Man like appearance. But back in 1997 this figure was exciting, because it was the very first time that this specific character was offered as an action figure.
Aboard the Rebel Blockade Runner, Rebel freedom fighters begin their defense against an Imperial invasion.
