- Chewbacca was released as a mail-away exclusive in the "Early Bird Kit"
- The set contained three other figures - which were Princess Leia - Luke Skywalker and R2-D2
- The 4-pack could be obtained by purchasing the Early Bird Certificate Package at Walmart - and then mailing away for the figures by filling out a form and including the package UPC and the original register receipt
- Chewbacca's bandolier is glued onto the figure and can't be taken off
- The 2-piece bowcaster fits well into Chewie's right hand
- The figure stands about two heads taller than the included Luke Skywalker figure
