MORE INFORMATION

  • This Heavy Battle Droid was released in February 2020 exclusively at Gamestop/ThinkGeek stores under the Black Series Gaming Greats banner
  • The figure is a repaint of the basic Black Series Battle Droid from 2019
  • Besides the two different backpacks and Droid Blaster, Hasbro also included additional weapons such as the Heavy Repating Cannon (first seen with the First Order Stormtrooper with Extra Gear) and the basic long Blaster Rifle which was first included with the 2013 Black Series Sandtrooper figure
  • The Droid blaster fits very well into the Battle Droid's right hand, and only loosely into the left hand
  • The regular backpack has a hole on the side where the blaster can be plugged in, this way the Battle Droid can carry it around without holding it in its hands
  • Both backpacks plug firmly into the back of the droid
  • The antennas on the small backpack are permanently attached
  • The Battle Droid stands an impressive 6.5" tall
  • The sculpt and the paint application look good and comes close to what the Battle Droid looked like in the Battlefront II video game
  • The Droid blaster and the long blaster rifle would have benefited from some weathering (like it was done for the Droid Blaster for the regular Black Series Battle Droid release)
  • It's possible to fold the droid up like it was seen in The Phantom Menace (it can't be folded up all the way, but it's pretty close)
  • The joints are very well hidden in this figure
  • The Battle Droid stands surprisingly well on display despite its petite nature
