MORE INFORMATION

  • This Jar Jar Binks figure was released in 2012 single carded in the "Lost Line" look exclusively at San Diego Comic Con
  • The figure was packed-in together with six other figures
  • Even though this figure was part of the San Diego Comic Con multipack, it was also sold at regular retail (on the same Lost Line card), plus it was also re-packaged and sold on a different card in the basic Vintage Collection assortment
  • Jar Jar came with an Atlatl weapon which fits very well into both hands
  • The figure can hold the staff only loosely in the hands
  • Both weapons were sculpted and painted nicely
  • The soft-goods loincloths is not removable
  • Even though this figure has stumpy legs it stands well on display without falling over (this only becomes an issue when the figure is posed more dynamically)
  • Jar Jar was sculpted beautifully and it's the best version of Jar Jar Binks available in the 3 3/4" line, the only improvement which could be made to this figure is to match the shoulder pins to the skin color

PACKAGING TEXT

Celebrate 35 years of Star Wars in 2012 as we recreate a "lost" packaging line look that was created, contemplated... and put aside in favor of Kenner's classic black-and-silver Star Wars design. For the first time ever, we're bringing this line look out of the Kenner archives and treating you to a glimpse of what might have been. The same creative team who designed the black-and-silver look also developed this design as one of several options to be considered for the line. In this lost line look, they created high-tech imagery incorporating a signature Star Wars vehicle and an epic space theme. What might have been, what was and what is: it all caputres our imaginations, just as the Star Wars saga captures our imaginations today, tomorrow and always!
