MORE INFORMATION

This Lando Calrissian figure in Skiff Guard Disguise was released in 2008's Target exclusive Ultimate Battlepack. Lando was seen wearing this outfit throughout all Jabba the Hutt scenes in Return Of The Jedi.

The figure is a repaint of the previously released Lando figure from 2004's SAGA toy line. This time, the paint application on Lando's face, the hands, and on his pants is significantly lighter than before. This Lando figure has a total of 10 joints, missing articulated knees and ankles. Unfortunately, the joints in the arms and elbows are swivel joints, and therefore will limit you as to how you can position the figure. Lando is a bit shaky on his legs, and while he doesn't necessary fall over right away, there is a good chance that he'll skip and fall down as soon as you walk by your shelf. So, you might want to consider getting a stand for him.

The Skiff Guard helmet fits quite well over Lando's head and can easily be put on or be removed. The blaster fits nicely into his holster and into both of his hands, but the force pike on the other hand is a bit too thin and keeps sliding out of his hands. The problem with both weapons is that they are made out of extremely thin plastic, so much so that they'll very likely bend and disform over time.

All in all, this Lando figure is only average. There are no ball-joints other than the neck, and the new paint job doesn't improve the figure in any way in comparison with the 2004 version. If you already own the previously released version you can skip this one, and if you don't own it yet, you might want to wait a bit longer and see if Hasbro is going to update this figure.

PACKAGING TEXT

"Victims of the almighty Sarlacc, his Excellency hopes that you will die honorably..." But Luke isn't about to let his friends die at the Pit of Carkoon. As the young Jedi stands on the skiff above the hungry Sarlacc, he springs his daring escape plan. Boba Fett uses the firing grappling hook in his gauntlet to briefly recapture Luke, but with a lightsaber's slash, Skywalker is once again free. One by one, Jabba's guards fall into the pit to be devoured by the Sarlacc. Lando barely escapes from becoming the creature's next meal, and is saved just in time by Han Solo. But Boba Fett doesn't fare as well; Han accidentally activates Fett's backpack and sends the bounty hunter tumbling into the Sarlacc's gaping mouth!

Lando impersonates a skiff guard as part of Luke's escape plan and almost loses his life to the Sarlacc.
