MORE INFORMATION

  • This Boba Fett (Vintage Comic Art) 3 3/4" figure was released single carded in late July 2023 exclusively through Target stores
  • Target had trouble with this figure's release, they took pre-orders online but didn't fulfill them until after the figure had shown up in stores with many collectors still waiting for their orders to be fulfilled as of this review
  • When collectors found Boba Fett in stores it wouldn't ring up and employees had to manually overwrite the internal code so it could be sold
  • The figure cost a whopping $22.99 + tax, which prompted collectors to coin the term Boba Tax
  • Apparently the high price point didn't matter because this Boba figure flew off the shelf when it was released at Target
  • The figure repainted for this release is the VC186 Boba Fett figure from 2021
  • Boba Fett came with a blaster rifle and a blaster which the figure can hold well in the hands
  • The jet-pack plugs firmly into a hole in the back of the figure
  • The rocket on the jet-pack is not removable
  • The helmet can't be taken off and the range-finder on it is static
  • Boba Fett's shoulder bells are made out of soft plastic so that it's possible to move the arms higher than 90°
  • The soft-goods cape is permanently attached
  • The paint application mimicks Boba Fett's bright colors from the 70s/80s comic book appearances
  • Even the blaster was given a rustic and used look which is great
  • The proportions on the figure look outstanding, especially the helmet looks fantastic
  • Boba Fett stands well on display without falling over
