MORE INFORMATION
This Black Series R5-D4 was released single boxed in late December 2023
R5-D4 is based on its appearance in the Mandalorian TV series where the droid was significantly cleaned up compared to the appearance in Star Wars: A New Hope
This release is a significant improvement compared to the first released Black Series R5-D4 droid from 2017, it comes with more accessories and is appropriately scaled
There are two vertical panels on the front of R5-D4 which can be opened
Each panel covers three holes where the included tools/arms can be plugged in
When R5-D4 faces to the front or the back it's possible to pull the dome up and extend it upwards, this then reveals the storage area where the included accessories can be placed in
There are two additonal red horizontal panels on the front which can be opened but there are no tools behind them which could be pulled out
There is one red panel on the top of the dome which can be opened, this then reveals a hole where the included bad motivator can be plugged in (nice!)
R5-D4 was painted well and all the details which we remember from the movie and the tv episodes are represented in the sculpt
The middle leg can be pulled out of the body, this way the figure can be displayed in a two or three-legged way
All in all this version of R5-D4 turned out well and if you are looking for an all clean version this would be a great one to get
