• This 8D8 figure was released single carded in a box together with Jabba The Hutt and Salacious B. Crumb exclusively through HasbroPulse.com
• Pre-orders for this set went live on 7/19/2023 and more than one year later it shipped to collectors in the middle of August 2024
• This 8D8 figure marks the third release for the character in the 3 3/4" scale, it was first released in 1983 and was followed up in 1998 with a modern version

• It had been 26 years since Hasbro last made a 3 3/4" 8D8 figure and it's easy to see how much sculpting and toy making techniques have changed during this time
• This 8D8 figure is the most detailed and best painted version so far
• Where this figure falls short of expectations however is in the articulation, for a modern figure in 2024 having just 8 movable parts is outdated (especially when you consider that collectors had to wait 26 years for an update)
• While we don't need to have every figure to be super articulated, having elbow joints in 8D8 was crucial so that he could operate a torture device
• 8D8 stands well on display without falling over
• The Kenner-inspired packaging looks great and even though the figure is a nice upgrade, it could have been executed better
