Pre-orders for this set went live on 7/19/2023 and more than one year later it shipped to collectors in the middle of August 2024
The box included a ton of accessories, and most importantly Jabba's throne for him to sit on
This is the third time that Hasbro utilized this particular sculpt for Jabba The Hutt, it was first released in 2015 with a few figures and a Rancor as a Toys'R'Us exclusive (have a look here), and then it was repainted for the Sail Barge in 2019 (have a look here)
This Jabba The Hutt doesn't have any action features built in (the mouth doesn't open - the tail doesn't move)
Both arms are nicely articulated and the head can be turned 360 degrees
The hands are sculpted in a way that Jabba can hold the included frog and the Hookah pipe
The mouth is not articulated
Jabba fits well onto the included throne
Even though Jabba's body was painted well, the paint deco on his throat doesn't look good (it looks surprisingly bloody)
The entire set is impressive though, from the fantastic Kenner-inspired packaging to Jabba and the exclusive carded figures of 8D8 and Salacious B. Crumb. With the throne and a plethora of accessories, it's an easy recommendation and a wonderful addition to any 3 3/4" collection
