MORE INFORMATION
This Darth Vader figure was released in June 2024 single carded
The figure is based on Darth Vader's appearance in Star Wars: A New Hope
For this figure Hasbro worked off of the fantastic Darth Vader figure from the Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi tv series (which was voted to be one of the best 3 3/4" figures by the Galactic Figures community in 2022)
The figure was updated with a new upper body which now has the sculpted inner robe go over the chest armor
Hasbro included two lightsabers, a removable soft-goods robe and two exchangeable hands
The non-ignited lightsaber hilt plugs nicely into a small hole on Darth Vader's belt
Vader is able to hold both lightsabers well in his hands
It's easy to exchange Darth Vader's hands, simply unplug the ones on the arms and plug the new ones on
If you'd like to take the soft-goods robe off simply pop Darth Vader's head off and take it off the figure
There is no Anakin Skywalker head underneath the helmet
The inclusion of a pointing right hand and a left fist is great, this way you can recreate more of Darth Vader's iconic scenes
This Darth Vader figure is a great example of how detailed 3 3/4" figures can be if Hasbro goes the extra mile, we have the dark red lenses, the smaller chin vent and gun-metal grey highlights on the helmet
Both lightsabers were painted well with silver and black details on the hilts
The soft-goods robe unfortunately is on the bulky side and has a mind of its own, and it will take some time to make it look good
Darth Vader stands well on display without falling over
If you are looking for a great 3 3/4" Darth Vader figure with modern articulation based on A New Hope and on classic Kenner 1970s inspired packaging, then don't miss out on this wonderful release!
