The set isn't based on a particular clone trooper appearance, instead it gives collectors a way to expand their existing troops with a variety of different customization options
The trooper sculpt has been utilized by Hasbro countless times at this point, which means you are getting a great looking clone that's nicely articulated without pins in the knees and with butterfly joints inside the shoulders
There are a total of three different heads included which can be swapped out easily by simply pulling one off the neck peg and plugging another one on
Both hands have their index fingers extended so that they can be placed onto the weapon's triggers
The trooper is able to hold all the weapons quite well in his hands and even the small Darth Sidious hologram fits well into the hands
The range-finders on the two helmets can be moved up and down
The shoulder bells are made out of soft plastic and they'll move out of the way when the arms are raised
The head sculpts look great and aesthetically it's a beautiful looking clone trooper no matter what accessories, helmets or shoulder pauldrons you put on
The paint application is the bare minimum here, all black weapons, no weathering, no wash, no blast marks on any of the armor parts, helmets or weapons
The trooper stands well on display without falling over
All in all, we love the idea of a set like this, but the execution falls short, instead of giving collectors new items to build out their troops like a weapons rack, binoculars, different backpacks, different hands for gestures, or even a waist kama so that an ARC Trooper could be completed, we only see repackaged/repainted parts which doesn't add much newness to the collection. It feels as if Hasbro gobbled up parts lying around and threw them into this set without giving it much thought of what collectors might still need, or what would truly enhance a display
