MORE INFORMATION

This Han Solo figure was released individually carded in November of 2009 in the Legacy Collection. The figure is based on Han Solo's look in Episode IV, after him, Chewie, Luke and Leia escaped the trash compactor on the Death Star.

The figure is super articulated with 14 joints and thanks to adjustable ankles and knees the figure can keep the balance nicely without help from a stand. The entire sculpt feels nice and appears to have all the right proportions. The paint application on the figure is well done, and there are no factory errors or smudges to be found. It is a bit awkward though that his sleeves have a different color from the rest of the shirt.

Unfortunately, the accessories included are a bit funky. The over-sized, bubble head Stormtrooper helmet is way too big to look in scale with any of the other Stormtrooper figures. It fits over the head, but never touches the shoulders. Since there is no neck seal, Solo's neck shows through and it just looks out of place. Before you can place the armor on the figure you'll need to pop Han Solo's head off. Once it's on, you'll notice that Solo's clothes still look out on the sides and between the armor and the belt. It just doesn't look right.

The thermal detonator can be plugged into the belt on the back of the figure, but it sits a bit loose and is likely to come off when you reposition the figure. It also feels a little bit too big. The Stormtrooper blaster fits well into both hands and is a good fit for the Stormtrooper holster on the left side of the figure. All in all, this Han Solo figure looks the best without the included accessories on it and if you don't own any Han Solo figures yet, this figure is a good option.
