- BB-8 was released in a 3-pack together with the Unkar's Thug and Teedo (Jakku Scavenger)
- Pictured here is the very first released BB-8 figure which didn't have a hole in the bottom and was very light when compared to the second and improved version of BB-8 in this 3-pack
- BB-8's bottom is level - so that the figure can be displayed nicely
- The head can be turned 360 degrees
- The head is attached to the body via a plastic stick which allows BB-8's head to be moved into any direction (in addition to the possible 360 degree motion)
- There is no magnet inside the body and BB-8 can't be rolled around
