MORE INFORMATION

  • General Grievous was released at Disney Stores on October 27, 2015
  • The figure is a re-release and slight re-work of the D23 exclusive Disney Elite Series General Grievous figure
  • This time around Disney added a peg hole in the bottom of the right foot and a display stand was included
  • Unfortunately, the peg hole and the display stand don't help to add weight support for this impressively big and heavy figure
  • Disney changed the lightsaber blades slightly from fully colored blades to see-through blades
  • This version of General Grievous is about one head taller than a regular Disney Elite Series Die Cast figure
  • The figure came with four lightsabers, two blue and two green ones
  • Each lightsaber hilt was molded and painted differently (nice!)
  • Unfortunately, General Grievous' hands are too big to hold them properly
  • The arms can be rotated 360 degrees, just like Grievous did in Revenge Of The Sith
  • Even the elbows are ball-jointed here, it's too bad that all the joints in this figure are overly loose, so you won't be able to keep the figures arms up or even spread out
  • The paint job was well done and overall General Grievous looks fantastic
  • The plastic cape is beautifully sculpted and it can easily be taken off the figure
  • Even though the figure looks nice, we recommend that you keep this one in the packaging
  • After writing this review we displayed the figure over night attached to the display stand, the next day we noticed that Grievous had fallen forward due to its own weight and snapped the ankle joint in half (it can be glued, but this shouldn't happen)
  • We also had a negative experience with the D23 exclusive Elite Series Grievous where the legs just snapped off
  • This Elite Series General Grievous is a beautifully sculpted, well articulated figure, but we recommend that you keep it on display in its packaging

PACKAGING TEXT

In collaboration with Lucasfilm, Disney Store is proud to introduce the Star Wars Elite Series, a premium line of toys featuring iconic characters from the expansive world of Star Wars. This exclusive collection is meticulously engineered and crafted with Star Wars fans in mind.

General Grievous was a brilliant Separatist military strategist and a feared Jedi Hunter, known for his ruthlessness and hacking cough. His body itself was a weapon, allowing him lightning quick strikes and devestating blows. But he was also quick to run from a fight, a tactic that worked until one final meeting with Obi-Wan Kenobi.
