MORE INFORMATION

This animated-style Mace Windu was released individually carded during The Clone Wars collection in August 2010. Jedi Master Mace Windu has been featured in various Clone Wars episodes, with a more prominent role in the Boba Fett story arch from the end of the second season of the Clone Wars TV show.

This Mace Windu is an all new figure with 14 points of articulation, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, the hip, knees and ankles. The only swivel joints are located in the wrists and the waist. Besides the die, game card and the stand, Hasbro included Mace Windu's purple lightsaber, and a split in half Jango Fett helmet. The lightsaber fits very well into Mace's right hand, but it doesn't fit into his left. The helmet pieces are made out of very soft plastic, but both can be stuck together forming a full helmet, thus hiding the non-removable thermal detonator inside. The helmet looks great, but it unfortunately doesn't look like the version seen in the cartoon, which was in pristine condition, and had explosives inside, not a thermal detonator.

The paint application on Mace Windu is nothing out of the ordinary, but it comes close to the look his Jedi outfit has in the Clone Wars TV show. Aesthetically, the figure looks great with very well hidden joints. The non-removable soft-goods skirt looks nice too, and the ball-joints in the hip should make it easier to place Mace on top of an AT-RT. All in all, this animated-style, super articulated version of Mace Windu is the best available version in The Clone Wars Collection as of this review.

This very same figure was re-released by Hasbro in the 2012 Clone Wars Collection: Clone Wars Mace Windu
