MORE INFORMATION

Clone Commander Cody was released individually carded during The Vintage Collection in early September 2010. The figure is based on Commander Cody's appearance in Revenge Of The Sith.

The figure is a re-release of the Commander Cody from The Legacy Collection in 2009. This time Hasbro fixed the color on the belt boxes and on the antenna, which are now correct when compared to the character in the movie. The only other difference is the right hand, which now appears to be tighter, so that the lightsaber hilt can be held a little bit better than before. Everything else stayed the same, including the weapons and accessories.

The figure is super articulated with 14 joints, including a ball-jointed hip. So, theoretically he could do a split :) Hasbro included five accessories with the figure, a blaster rifle, Obi-Wan's lightsaber hilt, Cody's helmet, a removable jet pack and a 2-piece Darth Sidious hologram. The helmet is a perfect fit, it looks in scale and covers the entire head front to back. The blaster rifle fits well into both hands. The jet pack can be plugged into a hole in the figure's back, but it sits very loosely and is likely to come off when you move or reposition Cody. The lightsaber hilt fits well into the right hand, but is a very loose fit for the left. It appears as if Hasbro planned to make the lightsaber attachable to the belt, because there is a small hole in it, but unfortunately the hole is not deep and wide enough to hold the saber. It sure would have looked cool if they had managed to make this work! The hologram accessory is a 2-piece set, with a base and a small translucent Darth Sidious. The hologram can be plugged into the base and stays firmly attached. The base fits into Cody's left and right hand and looks overall great.

The paint application on Commander Cody is well applied, but with so many scars and scuffs on the armor, it would have been nicer to see some dirt on it, instead of a simple white, pristine condition clone armor. Aesthetically, the figure looks great, and now that the color on the belt and on the antenna is fixed, it makes this figure the best representation of Commander Cody as of 2010.
