This animated-style Mandalorian Warrior was released in a battlepack during The Clone Wars collection in Fall 2010. The battlepack was titled "Mandalorian Warriors", and contained this Mandalorian Warrior with Jet Pack, plus three other Mandalorian Warriors which share the same paint application and sculpt, but have differently sculpted and painted jet-packs. The set is based on the Mandalorian episodes from the second season of Clone Wars TV show.
The Mandalorian Warrior is super articulated with 14 joints. Every movable part in this figure is ball-jointed, even the wrists, the waist and the hip. And even though it's a fairly skinny figure, the ball-jointed knees and ankles allow the figure's stance to be adjusted easily, so that the figure stands securely without help from a stand. There were 2 blasters, 2 forearm gauntlets and a jet-pack with projectile included. The blasters are a good fit for both hands and they also fit very well into the holsters. The arm gauntlets can be pulled over the forearms, where they stay loosely attached. The Jet-pack plugs very well into a hole in the back of the figure. The Mandalorian helmet is not removable.
The paint application on the Mandalorian is cleanly applied with strong blue colors. The figure is kept clean, without any dirt or weathering on the outfit, just the way those characters appeared in the TV show. The paint job is identical to all the other three Mandalorian Warriors in this battlepack, but what makes this one different are the attachable forearm gauntlets, and the differently designed jet-pack. Compared with the Mandalorian Warrior with Speeder, the paint application is quite different. Make sure you use the comparison tool to check both figures out side-by-side. All in all, this Mandalorian Warrior is a fantastic, super-articulated figure based on a very cool and very familiar design. So, if you like Mandalorians from the Clone Wars TV show, then this figure is for you!
