This animated-style Obi-Wan Kenobi was released individually carded during the Clone Wars Collection in late January 2011. The figure is based on Kenobi's more grown-up appearance from the 3rd season of the Clone Wars TV show.
Obi-Wan has 12 joints, missing articulated ankles. The neck is ball-jointed, together with the shoulders, elbows and knees. The wrists, the waist and both legs are swivel jointed. Obi-Wan Kenobi stands a little shaky by himself, but you can use the included display stand for more stability. The only weapon included with Obi-Wan was his signature blue lightsaber, which fits OK into both hands. There was no Jedi robe or any other accessory included with the figure.
The paint application on Obi-Wan Kenobi is very basic, but it matches the character's appearance from the third season of the Clone Wars TV show. There is no weathering or dirt to be found on the outfit, but Obi-Wan appeared mostly in a clean outfit in the TV show anyways. The symbol on the right forearm is painted cleanly and matches the one seen on TV. The sculpt is quite different from previous animated-style Obi-Wan figures which were released before 2011. This figure here is thinner and much more petite, especially the head sculpt is much smaller than seen on previous versions. All in all, this ankle-less Obi-Wan turned out very well and looks good, which is well worth upgrading to, if you don't own enough Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi figures yet.
Obi-Wan battles the enemies of the Republic as war expands across the galaxy. The Jedi General continues his hunt for General Grievous and leads diplomatic missions to far-flung worlds. Whether he is battling droids or negotiating with potential allies, Obi-Wan is resolute in his fight to save the Republic.
