MORE INFORMATION

Cartoon-style General Grievous was released individually carded in Spring 2005, and was later repacked in the Walmart exclusive DVD 3-pack together with Asajj Ventress and Durge. Later the same year, Hasbro released General Grievous again, but repainted the figure completely. General Grievous can be seen in this color tone in the earlier chapters of the Tartakovsky Clone Wars cartoon series.

The General has six joints, including a ball-jointed neck, two swivel arms, two swivel elbows and a swivel waist. Everything below the waist is static and a big block of plastic. Because of that, General Grievous stands very safely by himself without support from a stand. The two weapons included were a blue and a green lightsaber, and both of them fit very well into either hand. The cape and the two lightsabers hanging from the belt are part of the figure and can't be removed.

The blueish paint application on General Grievous seems to match the earlier appearances by General Grievous in the TV show quite well, but feels overall a little simple. The figure's size is impressive, especially the wing span, as it is almost about three times as wide as any of the other figures released in the "Tartakovsky" series. All in all, this version of General Grievous is quite unique, and a nice addition to the Tartakovsky inspired cartoon-style Clone Wars figures.
