Spirit Obi-Wan Kenobi was released individually carded during the Original Trilogy Collection in 2004. The figure is based on Obi-Wan's appearance in The Empire Strikes Back (and technically The Return Of the Jedi).
The figure features 8 points of articulation, including a swivel head, 2 swivel arms, 2 swivel elbows, 2 swivel wrists, and a swivel waist. The legs are molded individually, but can't be moved, and there is no articulation in the knees or ankles. Despite being entirely static from the waist down, the figure stands remarkably well on its own. Hasbro included a blue lightsaber, a removable plastic jedi cloak and a Dagobah themed base with Kenobi. The lightsaber fits well into the left hand, and the cloak can easily be removed. The base looks great, and the figure fits perfectly on top of it.
The paint application on Spirit Obi-Wan is quite different from previously released spirit or holographic Star Wars figures, but it captures the "spirit" appearance better than any other spirit/holographic figure released. The figure's sculpt is done very nicely, including the figure's right hand which is in a pointing, lecturing, "force-using" position. All in all, this Spirit Obi-Wan Kenobi is well worth adding to the collection, and fits great into a Dagobah themed display!
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a friend of Luke Skywalker, the Rebel hero. In a battle with the evil Darth Vader, Obi-Wan lets Vader win and disappears, becoming part of the Force. His spirit appears to Luke and guides him in his fight to save the galaxy. He tells Luke to find Yoda, who will teach him to be a Jedi Knight and to use the power of the Force to fight Vader.
