Grand Admiral Thrawn has been a fan favorite for a very long time, ever since Timothy Zahn's book trilogy was released in the early 1990's. Back then, Kenner/Hasbro realized this and released a Thrawn figure during the POTF2 series with a 3D pop-out background. About 10 years later Hasbro puts out yet again a Thrawn figure, but this time it's nicer than before due to advancements in sculpting and tooling. The figure is super articulated and authentic looking based on the novels. There was no blaster included with the figure, but Habro included his pet Ysalamir which fits perfectly either around his neck, or around one of his feet. Overall, this is a nice upgrade to a previously released version!

It's five years after the destruction of the second Death Star. The Rebel Alliance has established a New Republic, but its existence is threatened by the old Empire. Grand Admiral Thrawn commands the remnants of the Imperial fleet and is putting together a plan that will destroy the new governement. Thrawn contacts Talon Karrde, a man with valuable information that Thrawn needs in order for his plan to succeed.
