We've been taking a look at Jabba's Sail Barge's history and stumbled upon a Google Hangout with JediBusiness.com and some members of the Hasbro Star Wars team and were surprised about some of the intel we gathered almost a year ago. So we thought it would be fun to pick out 10 fun facts about the Sail Barge which you might not remember anymore.
10) Jabba's Sail Barge was designed so that a Star Wars figure could walk from the cockpit all the way to the back of the barge (and up/down), there are no doors, walls or obstacles in the way!
9) The Hammerhead skeleton is NOT meant to be an action figure, but it does consist of individually sculpted parts.
8) The Hammerhead skeleton is held in place via pegs, the figure is not glued down.
7) The included Jabba The Hutt figure is a re-release of the Toys'R'Us exclusive Black Series 3.75" Jabba The Hutt figure, but it was updated with the photo real face printing technology.
6) There are no pegs anywhere on Jabba's Sail Barge for figures to stand on to preserve a realistic appearance (this also goes for The Vintage Collection SKIFF, the plank for example doesn't have a peg so Luke could be secured on it).
5) There are six locations where the deck cannons can be placed.
4) The barge has a metal appearance and lived-in universe look on the outside, on the inside Jabba's cabin features wooden floors and details.
3) Jabba's throne can be moved around.
2) Jabba's cabin ceiling is higher on one side to accomodate taller figures such as Amanaman and Yak Face.
1) The microphone on Jabba's console can be pulled out, it's attached to a string (microphone cable) which will be long enough so that C-3PO can hold it and make his announcements.
And that's it for now, thank you for reading and for more Sail Barge coverage have a look here!
