Walmart Collector Con And The Obi-Wan / Airborne Trooper 2-Pack

March got off to a strong start when we learned that Walmart Collector Con would bring the previously announced Obi-Wan Kenobi and Airborne Clone Trooper 2-pack to collectors on March 19, 2026. Later in the month, we followed that up with the full press release, giving collectors a closer look at the figures with two figure entries, their accessories, and the overall presentation.

Maul: Shadow Lord Took Center Stage

Black Series 6" collectors got one of the month’s biggest stories on March 4, when Hasbro revealed a new Maul: Shadow Lord wave featuring Maul, Devon Izara, Rook Kast, and the Eleventh Brother. Later in the month, the new trailer for Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord added even more excitement, along with various reels on social media, by giving fans a better sense of the show’s tone, story, and characters.

Droid Factory Kept Rolling

Disney’s Droid Factory Friday program kept moving in March as B2EMO was revealed as the sixth droid in the current Build-A-Droid series. We also continued expanding Droid Factory coverage on the database side, including the addition of QT-KT to the archive.

A Surprise Baze Malbus Announcement

One of the more unexpected Vintage Collection stories in March was the announcement of Baze Malbus from Rogue One for the 3 3/4" line, a figure long requested by collectors for a whopping ten years.

Battle Of Geonosis Momentum Picked Up

Late March brought one of the month’s biggest TVC developments when Hasbro officially revealed the Orray and Geonosian Picador set. This was a very well received set by our community, but we all choked when we saw the whopping $80 price tag. We also looked at the larger Battle of Geonosis plan, tying the reveal back to the artwork sketch by Mr. Stevie and the broader direction of the theme within the line for this year.

Emerald City Comic Con Coverage Returned

March also included on-the-ground convention coverage from Seattle as we attended Emerald City Comic Con 2026. Obviously we focused our report on the Star Wars presence at the show, including the show floor with their Star Wars action figure presence, the 501st exhibit, droid builders, celebrity guests, and the overall convention atmosphere.

Podcast Coverage For The Mandalorian And Grogu Merchandise Launch

March also included a new podcast episode documenting the The Mandalorian and Grogu movie merchandise launch on March 22, 2026. Titled The Worst Toy Launch In The History Of Star Wars Toys, the episode captured the frustration and confusion surrounding the rollout and highlighted the experience going on a toy run hunting for new Star Wars toys.

In addition we brought you two images which you can use for your phone that give you an overview of every 3 3/4" Grogu and Din Djarin figure released in The Vintage Collection.

Reviews, Archive Work, And The Road To The Mandalorian And Grogu

March also kept the database growing with reviews and "A Closer Look" features. The focus was on some older Power Of The Force (2) sets from the mid to late 1990s, along with the latest TVC and Black Series figures. One of the reviews we spent a lot of time on was the AT-RT vehicle feature, wondering if it was worth the $67.99 price tag (check it out here).
