The First Order's infantry units wear stark white armor derived from those worn by the Repbulic's clone troopers and the Empire's stormtroopers. The rank of squad leaders, an elite force within the First Order, are differentiated by a pauldron, or prominent shoulder piece, denoting a higher rank.
