• This R2-D2 figure was released in a 2-pack together with C-3PO
• Originally this set was supposed to be exclusive to Toys'R'Us stores in the United States, but TRU went out of business and the set ended up on Amazon.com (fulfilled and shipped by Amazon) and some discount stores such as DD's Discounts
• Both figures are Force Link 2.0 enabled and you can listen to the voice samples here on this page
• For this astromech droid Hasbro went back in their archive and used the fantastic build-a-droid sculpt, which lets you take the droid apart into two outer legs, one middle leg, one body and one dome
• The cables on the front of the feet can be moved up and down
• There are wheels in the bottom of a all three feet so that R2-D2 can be rolled around
• There are no hidden panels on the body which can be opened
• The dome can be manually rotated 360 degrees
• Hasbro included two booster rocket which can be attached to the outside of the legs
• The two additional flames attach easily to the booster rockets
• R2-D2 was dirtied up quite a bit with lots of brown splash marks on the front and back with stronger weathering towards the feet (nice!)
• R2-D2 has no balancing issues
