MORE INFORMATION

  • This Walgreens exclusive six inch scale Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) was released individually boxed
  • The figure is a repainted version of the regular released Boba Fett figure
  • This is unfortunate - because it makes this figure quite inaccurate when compared to the original source material
  • Boba's helmet is not removable
  • The range-finder on the helmet is static
  • The jetpack plugs nicely into a hole in the back of the figure
  • The rocket in the jetpack is not removable
  • The soft-goods cape - the chest armor - the belt and the pouches are not removable
  • The figure is able to hold the two weapons beautifully in both hands (with patience the index finger can be placed onto the trigger - which looks great)
  • The basic blaster fits well into the holster
  • The Boba Fett figure reviewed here had stiff joints - which allowed for it to be displayed in more dynamic battle poses

How close is this figure compared to the actual Prototype Armor?

  • The blasters are inaccuarte when compared to the Prototype Armor Boba Fett (a detail Hasbro got right on the 3 3/4inch Prototype Armor Boba Fett figure)
  • The holster is completely wrong
  • The cape is wrong (they used a Star Wars beach towel on the Prototype armor)
  • The rocket is missing the "spikes"
  • Hasbro took a lot of liberty when painting this figure - the jetpack and the gauntlets on both arms have for the most part the wrong details highlighted
  • The Prototype Armor Boba Fett didn't have Wookiee braids hanging over the shoulder
  • It's unfortunate that Hasbro took so many shortcuts on such a beloved costume
  • There is currently a video available on StarWars.com - which shows the prototype armor quite beautifully: http://www.starwars.com/watch/meet_boba_fett.html
  • Despite a lot of inaccuracies when compared to the original Prototype Armor - there is just something extremely cool about this white Boba Fett figure!
  • This Boba Fett figure was re-released by Hasbro nine years later in 2022, have a look here: Boba Fett Prototype Armor
