MORE INFORMATION

This Luke Skywalker figure was released during The Legacy Collection in October 2009 in a comic 2-pack together with a Lumiya figure. Skywalker is based on his appearances in the Dark Horse comic books series.

Luke is super articulated with 14 movable parts, with the only swivel joints being in the wrists and legs. Like with all shirt or sleeve-less figures you see the joints stick out more than usual, which can diminish the aesthetic appearance of a figure. In Luke's case it's not too bad, but the shoulder joints are still pretty obvious. When you take a closer look at the arms and under arms, you'll notice little factory markings like "R1" and "BR1" for example, which are probably part indicators used internally at the factory. It would be nice if Hasbro could hide these a bit better.

Both lightsabers fit well into Luke's hand, and both weapons are seen in the actual comic book. The paint application is well applied, but could have been nicer on his arms. Luke's hair in the comic book is bright yellow, and his boots are blue. Hasbro made the figure's hair brown and the boots black, which was probably a conscious decision so that the figure fits in better with the basic star wars figure line-up.

All in all, it's a super articulated Luke Skywalker figure based on a vintage star wars comic book series, which is close enough to the source material to warrant a purchase if you are a fan.

PACKAGING TEXT

Luke Skywalker is defeated in a battle with Lumiya, the Dark Lady of the Sith, who wields her lightwhip with devastating precision. But this confrontation is far from over. Lumiya wants to punish the Jedi who caused her to become more cyborg than human, while Luke tries to persuade his opponent to turn away from the dark side.
