MORE INFORMATION

This Luke Skywalker figure was released individually carded in the Summer of 2009 as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. After the convention, the figure was available on HasbroToyShop.com throughout the entire year. Although this Luke Skywalker figure is based on ANH, the "smiling face Luke" can be seen a lot more in the Holiday Special from the late 70's.

The figure is super articulated with 10 ball-joints and 4 swivel joints (under arms, 2 legs) and stands very safely on its own. Luke's lightsaber has a permanently attached blue blade and fits into both hands. The chest computer is not removable, but you can plug the cable running from it into the pilot suit. Almost in the center of the belt, right next to the harness is a little hole where a lightsaber hilt can be attached to. Unfortunately Hasbro didn't include a non-ignited lightsaber with the figure. Luke's helmet is a good fit for the head but is a little bit too short in the back, which means his hair is showing out a little underneath.

The paint application is O.K., but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, this Luke X-Wing figure is a good, super articulated figure, and what makes it unique is the head sculpt which has not been done before in a smiling version. If you don't have a Luke X-Wing figure in your collection yet, this one is definitely a good option.

PACKAGING TEXT

It was Luke Skywalker's boyhood dream to one day pilot an X-WING STARFIGHTER for the REBEL ALLIANCE GÇô and when that day came, he was all smiles.
