This AT-ST Driver was released in 2009's The Legacy Collection as a Walmart exclusive, packed-in together with an AT-ST vehicle. AT-ST Drivers can be seen in The Return Of The Jedi's battle scenes on the planet Endor.

The Imperial has 10 joints, including a swivel neck, swivel arms, swivel elbows, swivel wrists and waist. There are no ball-joints to be found, and there are no joints below the waist. Since there are no joints in the knees or ankles, the AT-ST Driver stands a little bit shaky on his feet. The included helmet fits easily over the head, but sits a little loose. The goggles and the antenna on the helmet are not removable. The communicator is molded into the figure's left hand and can't be removed. The blaster does not fit well at all into the right hand, so you might want to consider keeping the little plastic band in place with which the blaster is attached when you remove the figure from its packaging.

The AT-ST Driver's paint application is cleanly applied, with various gray colors on the jump suit and glossy black on the boots, belt and gloves. The facial area is painted nicely as well. All things considered, this AT-ST Driver figure is only average. Most disappointing is the lack of ball-joints, and the limited pose-ability that comes with that. The loosely fitting helmet, and the blaster which the figure can't hold, add to the negative impression. On the plus side, the figure does fit into the 2009 Walmart exclusive AT-ST vehicle, and it'll add some variety to your Imperial Army, because the repainted head sculpt looks unique. However, this figure is far from being the "ultimate version" of the AT-ST Driver.

The All Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST) walker strides across the ground searching for Rebel troopers. The armored vehicle's blaster cannons and concussion launcher give the walker plenty of firepower, while the height and mobility provide significant advantages during attacks.
